Garden Bike Track

Children in the Whales and After School Club have hours of fun on this safe and exciting bike track designed to give them opportunities to move, improve balance and coordination and channel all that childish energy. The gentle slope makes it a perfect place to learn to ride a bike with confidence. Inside the bike track, each year when the bluebells have gone over, the children and adults construct an outdoor classroom from willow and decorate it during the term with their own ephemeral art.

Grass & Safe Surface Play Area

With a huge variety of flowers and shrubs this garden makes a wonderful setting for learning about nature and playing in the fresh air and in the summer, the shade from the apple trees makes it extra safe and cosy. A large area has been safe surfaced so the inevitable tumble is less harsh on little knees and elbows. The soft grass is managed to look fresh and inviting all year round. Lots of ball games, see saws and picnics take place throughout the warmer months.
